We Don't Just Teach Acting
At CWF studio, we spend most of our time making movies, including all of those shown on this page. As a result, our courses concentrate far less on theory and far more on practice. We want to get you acting, and onto the big screen, as quickly as possible. Most students, even absolute beginners, see themselves on our cinema-size facility on their first visit to the studio.
We teach every aspect of acting for feature film and television work. In short, our aim is to get you working at a professional level, even if you have never acted before.
Batman, Harry Potter, Hitch Hiker's Guide and Katherine of Alexandria are just a few of the productions our students have appeared in, but the industry needs more properly trained actors.
We are proud of our students' successes and we enjoy the fact that many students continue their courses with us after the main course has finished, helping to maintain their high professional standards.
Six Week Evening Film Acting Course
The next start date for our Six-Week Course is Monday 20th July 2009. The course runs on Mondays and Thursdays 8-10pm. Places are limited so please apply early. Once the course is completed students may continue to attend at a reduced rate if spaces are available.
Film Acting Workshop Masterclasses
Due to the success of our recent Film Acting Masterclass we will be holding another on the Saturday 25th July 2009. The workshop runs from 11am to 5pm. There are only a small number of places so apply now if you want to be certain of getting in. The Masterclass includes teaching by film and TV actress Jean Marlow and film director Michael Redwood, currently in production on Katherine of Alexandria.
Voiceover Workshops
The ability to do voice-overs is essential for the professional movie actor. Our Voiceover Workshops are held by appointment. To read more about them, please visit the voiceover page.
Showreel
Note that for those who would like one, there is the option to produce a showreel for an extra fee. The amount varies but is likely to be around £450 for two scenes. This will be a professionally filmed DVD of your acting performances that you can show to prospective employers.
Because making feature films is our main business, it is also possible for you to have a 'deluxe showreel' with full cinema-quality CGI special effects. Prices for these start at around £5,000.
Red Camera Showreels
For existing and past students, we are offering the chance to have cinema-quality showreels made using the world-beating Red camera. Click here to read more and to book.

One of our teachers, Jean Marlow, has written a number of books on auditions and cold reading technique. With more than 40 years of film, TV and theatre acting behind her, these books are essential reading for the aspiring actor.

"Thankyou so much for the workshop on Saturday! It was so so informative and I learnt a great deal about what I'm doing right and wrong, also the tricks of the trade! This workshop has really helped me."
