International Students Welcome
We Don't Just Teach Acting
At KOA Studio, we spend most of our time involved with movies, including some of those shown on this page. As a result, our courses concentrate far less on theory and far more on practice. We want to get you acting, and onto the big screen, as quickly as possible. Most students, even absolute beginners, see themselves on our cinema-size facility on their first visit to KOA Studio.
We teach every aspect of acting for feature film and television work. In short, our aim is to get you working at a professional level, even if you have never acted before.
We are proud of our students' successes and we enjoy the fact that many students continue their courses with us after the main course has finished, helping to maintain their high professional standards.
Six Week Evening Film Acting Course
Places for our Six-Week Course are limited so please apply early. Once the course is completed students may continue to attend at a reduced rate if spaces are available.
Film Acting Workshop Masterclasses
We are holding a one-off masterclass. This is specifically aimed at people who would like to be considered for speaking parts in the feature epic Katherine of Alexandria. You will be filmed during the masterclass, and will be automatically considered for a role in the film. No role can be guaranteed of course, but the masterclass will focus on describing what the Producers and Director are looking for.
Voiceover Workshops
The ability to do voice-overs is essential for the professional movie actor. Our Voiceover Workshops are held by appointment. To read more about them, please visit the voiceover page.
Cinema-Quality Showreel
Note that for those who would like one, there is the option to produce a showreel for an extra fee. The amount varies but is likely to be around £475.00 for two scenes. For existing and past students there is the option to get the ultimate showreel, made using the world-beating Red camera. This will be a professionally filmed, cinema-quality DVD of your acting performances that you can show to prospective employers.
Because making feature films is our main business, it is also possible for you to have a 'deluxe showreel' with full cinema-quality CGI special effects. Prices for these start at around £5,000.

"Thankyou so much for the workshop on Saturday! It was so so informative and I learnt a great deal about what I'm doing right and wrong, also the tricks of the trade! This workshop has really helped me."
