Screen Masterclass for Feature Epic £120.00
Maximum 25 Places Available
We are holding a one-off masterclass. This is specifically aimed at people who wish to be considered for speaking parts in future productions. You will be filmed during the masterclass, and will be automatically considered for a role in future productions. No role can be guaranteed of course, but the masterclass will focus on describing what the Producers and Director are looking for.
Even if you are an absolute beginner, or if you are interested in getting parts in films being made right now, our screen-auditions workshop will show you how. It will include teaching by film, TV and stage actress Jean Marlow and Film Director Michael Redwood, currently in production on Katherine of Alexandria.
Masterclass Workshop Contents
The workshop will also cover the essentials of acting for film and will be taught by industry personnel including film directors working full-time in the industry so you get the best possible introduction to film acting, from a director's point of view. Lunch and refreshments are available.
Content will typically include:
- Differences between camera and stage acting
- Audition and screen test technique
- Correct CV presentation
- Image awareness in front of the camera
- Improvisation
- Working with film crews
- How to behave professionally on set
- Being a film extra
No experience is necessary but if you have some, so much the better. Either way, you will quickly discover exactly what a movie director is looking for when auditioning you.
The workshop will be conducted in a working film studio and we are always on the lookout for new talent. You will be seen and taught by people involved in the casting, directing and production of major feature films, and if you are suitable there is a chance that you could be cast for this or one of our future productions although of course this cannot be guaranteed. The workshops are conducted by people who have between them worked in various capacities on many major movies, including Harry Potter, Sweeney Todd, Aliens, Romancing the Stone, The Mission, The Chronicles of Narnia, and many others.
Auditions
Some time after the masterclass, auditions will be held for parts in future productions, but there will be no need for you to attend since you will have been filmed during the masterclass and will be considered automatically.
Anyone could be chosen, and attendees will stand a realistic chance of being selected for speaking or non-speaking roles, or for appearances as extras. There can be no guarantee that you will be selected.
